About ArtSpace
The ArtSpace is an area provided for the exhibition of art, visual and audio works from regional areas, or with a regional focus. We provide this space to encourage artists, photographers, archivalists, researchers and writers to make their works available in virtual form, and to ensure that regional art and associated activities is accessible to the general community.
The Art Space consists of independently curated exhibitions, as well as presentations of visual material and works by individual artists and researchers. Transformations encourages visual and artistic endeavour within regional areas, and provides an opportunity for artists working at a professionally skilled level to have their work seen publicly on the world wide web. We also encourage the showing of visual aspects of research through the publication of archival material such as photographs, drawings, maps, illustrations, engravings, and any other visual material providing insight into, and knowledge of regional areas, events, institutions and people.
Images appearing in the Art Space may be as diverse as photographs, paintings, drawings, installations and other art works, as well as images of historical and social documentation.
Anyone seeking to curate a showing either of their own or others' work should contact the Transformations editor Warwick Mules
